The world’s digital elite is going to gather for an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas on design issues, digital media, arts and society at the fourth DLD conference in Munich between 20 and 22 January 2008. Europe’s leading future conference on key issues of the 21st century focuses on innovation, design matters and scientific topics. The event is co-sponsored by publisher Hubert Burda and investor Yossi Vardi.

"We are delighted about the high significance of DLD among European future conferences,” says Marcel Reichart, co-managing director of Hubert Burda Media Marketing & Communications who serves as the event’s host and producer, assignments he shares with his colleague Steffi Czerny. "This conference brings together digital media experts, artists and scientists. This is how we achieve the high interdisciplinary level,” adds Czerny.

The CEO of Deutsche Telekom, Rene Obermann, American business woman Martha Stewart, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and bestselling author Paulo Coelho have already confirmed their intention to participate.
