Hubert Burda Media sets great store by further education and runs a host of programmes to ensure staff have the latest skills at their fingertips at every step along their career.
The Burda Leadership Club was first launched in July 2000 with the aim of promoting flexibility and adaptability in the dynamic context of the media industry. This programme targets above all management staff and comprises a schedule of talks and discussions in the style of workshops.
The Basic Management Programme, meanwhile, prepares upcoming members of the executive team for leadership tasks via seminars and group projects. This programme imparts a both broad and in-depth base of specialist, company-relevant knowledge.
The Burda Advertising Academy was established in 2001. It focuses above all on further training and education in professional media marketing skills. It is an institution in its own right which aims to deepen and build on basic target- and practice-oriented knowledge.
The Burda Direct Academy encourages and develops the skills of prospective management staff. It has been preparing participants to take on leadership roles over the medium term since 1998. Its strategic programme comprises a series of workshops, training sessions and mentoring discussions.
