Burda Research & Development forms international partnership with ScienceBlogs

Dynamic growth of the global science media community

Burda Research & Development and US-based Seed Media Group have formed a strategic partnership which will lead to the joint advancement of the world’s largest science community, ScienceBlogs (www.scienceblogs.com).

Since its launch in early 2006, ScienceBlogs has grown to include more than sixty authors, with topics ranging from climate change, evolutionism and neuroscience to biology and medicine. The channels are growing continuously, and ScienceBlogs is ranked a global top 20 site by Technorati. In August, the website attracted over 1.7 million visits.

Users constitute the “Leonardo” target group: They are interested in science as well as in politics and the humanities, have an above-average education, are young, usually live in big cities and work in executive positions. About a third of all users are female. ScienceBlogs’ advertising partners include well-known international brands such as Intel, Dow and GE.
