The journalistic service for a new generation

The German version of the HuffPost, a BurdaForward brand, is a 21st-century journalistic service – an innovative news platform on which editors, bloggers and commentators state their opinions and write about the things that move them. In Germany alone, more than 6,000 guest authors now post via the HuffPost. Its 15 German editors have access to a global network of over 800 permanently employed editors. Rather than following the mainstream, they shed light on topics from a different perspective. The team uses growth fields such as mobile, social media and video to develop the service.

The HuffPost now reaches almost seven million people in Germany (AGOF digital facts 2015-11) via mobile and stationary devices. It aims to become one of the top five German news portals in the medium term. The German HuffPost is a portal run by ForwardContentServices GmbH, part of BurdaForward. Oliver Eckert is the Chairman of the Board. His fellow managing director is Daniel Steil.
