As a Product Owner & Data Scientist, I spend my days communicating with developers in Romania, business stakeholders and my technical colleagues at Cyberport in Dresden. I find myself in an unusual position - even after the COVID-19 pandemic, I will work entirely from my home office in Great Britain while still maintaining close contact with my colleagues and feeling like a treasured part of the team.
I am the Product Owner for all pricing microservices that we use to roll out prices to the Cyberport.de webshop and many other sales channels. I’m learning a lot about Python, IT architecture and software solutions, and also about retail and e-commerce. I am responsible for detecting dependencies between IT components and finding solutions and algorithms that fulfil business requirements and technical restrictions. I then break down these requirements into release iterations and Jira tickets and work with all stakeholders to define roadmaps and project phases. I also help to develop pricing algorithms that are subsequently integrated into microservices.
For me, CyberSolutions is a great example of a modern working environment that allows employees to use their initiative, values what they do and encourages them to innovate. We have grown significantly in recent years, which means there are plenty of opportunities to develop and new projects in which we can realise our potential and try out new methods. We generally speak English and are a very international team, so German isn’t essential. Having fun is also important, and we currently have a football table at our site in Munich.
We are always looking for motivated people to join various company departments, people who value product quality just as highly as a harmonious team atmosphere.

Burda is vibrant and Burda is diverse. Every day, I provide our various profit centres with tailored advice on IT recruiting. What processes do we need and who will be the right fit? What job title should we use and what qualities should the perfect candidate have? These are the questions I try to answer in our Munich office or working from home after a coffee on my balcony. And then I start searching for candidates. In the evening I play guitar or do some programming of my own.
