Our exclusive Young Financial Leaders Program is aimed at Master’s graduates with an interest in finance. Explore the career path you will follow as an aspiring financial executive.
Over two years, you will gain a 360° insight into all relevant commercial topics and build up a broad range of specialist knowledge in all areas of finance. Get to know our various business models – from advertising to sales and retail – from a finance perspective and help us ensure sustainable company development.
The trainee program offers:
Challenging projects: Take on responsibility from an early stage and work independently on strategic topics. There will also be occasional opportunities to support the day-to-day work of CFOs and commercial managers in individual departments and subsidiaries. This will teach you to understand business processes in detail, analyse transactions and draw up sound projections
Close mentoring relationship: During your two-year program, you will receive personal and professional mentoring from financial managers. Boost your career by drawing on their wealth of experience and vast networks
Postings in Germany and abroad: Working in fields such as controlling, accounting, tax, treasury, M&A and at Burda Principal Investments will allow you to develop considerable financial expertise while keeping overarching contexts in mind. You can also observe our business from a global perspective at one of our international locations, which include London and Singapore
Targeted personal development: Regular feedback from your mentors, targeted off-the-job training (e.g. financial modelling) and personal development seminars will help you to evolve as an individual
Valuable networking: Burda events (such as the DLD conference in Munich) and cross-department trainee events are the ideal way to build your own network and add a key building block to the foundations of your Burda career
Fair pay & a good chance of employment: The Young Financial Leaders Program has a gross annual salary of 50,000 euros and aims to help participants achieve subsequent employment in a financial field
