My mantra is that the early bird catches the worm! I usually get to my computer pretty early but can’t start working until I’ve had my first two coffees. My job in Offenburg is to fill positions that reflect the diversity of our brand portfolio. I love being in contact with so many different people and showing them how varied and broad Burda is and just how many employment opportunities we can offer.
“For me, the professional journey at Burda is more than just work – it is an exciting voyage of discovery in which I not only attract talented individuals, but also discover new members for our Burda family. From our location in Offenburg, I continue to explore exciting horizons together with young talent. This journey takes us to different corners, at university fairs or career events, which give me the opportunity to get to know you better in person.”
First an intern, then a working student, then a permanent employee – clearly, I wanted to stay with Burda! I was a valued team member from the outset and learned a great deal. Now, as a recruiter, I take immense pleasure in preparing students to enjoy the same positive start to their careers. If you’re a student with an interest in fashion, our paths are sure to cross. Or maybe you prefer tax and data protection? Whatever your passion, I look forward to hearing from you!
“I am Sabrina, your recruiting queen at BurdaForward. With an eye for new talent, I am looking for innovative minds. After 10 years in a furniture store (yes, really!), I brought my passion for cozy spaces into the office. Together with my fluffy Maltipoo Benji, the master of feel-good management, I ensure that you are provided with new challenges. Let’s find the best paths for your professional journey together – Burda, in good company!”
I work as HR Marketing & Event Manager in beautiful Munich. I plan our trade fair appearances and HR marketing measures throughout Germany. These include in-house events, campus campaigns and classic job fairs. What I enjoy most about my job is the contact with people and the organising. My varied tasks give me a good insight into the colourful world of Burda.
I work in Offenburg, managing vacancies for young professionals. Whether you’re applying for an apprenticeship in electronics engineering or an internship in marketing to provide your first professional experience, the main thing I look for is motivation. What makes the perfect workday? Finding the right person for a job and chatting with my colleagues, ideally over lunch in the cafeteria.
"Every pot has a lid that fits" - and my mission is to find it. I have the pleasure of supporting various of our profit centres in their search for the perfect match when it comes to IT recruiting. We deal with questions such as: Which position and which project are we looking for? What expertise should the person bring to the table? And does the person fit in with our team? With these questions in mind, we start the search.
Fortunately, I don't do this search alone. My little recruiting mascot, my Yorkshire terrier "Chico", is always with me, looking for the next cuddly colleague with his keen eye.
For me, “in good company” means leading a wonderful team whose members support one another and enjoy overcoming all the challenges presented by our work. We fill over 1,000 vacancies every year, ensure that Burda makes a great impression on potential employees and deal with recruiting matters for almost all Burda brands. Just like Burda, our work is diverse, creative and people-focused. We are all about innovation, collaboration and enterprise and are looking for people who will fit in with our culture. Join us!
I look after our core functions – for example in finance, strategy and legal – as well as special projects. I work out of Offenburg with colleagues located around Germany and find myself constantly inspired by the variety of tasks required – each project is different. I really enjoy talking with professionals and students. I also support our networking activities, such as university events, and am active on Xing and LinkedIn.
My mission? To track down the best talent and attract them to Burda!
My experience in recruiting and personnel development helps me to do this - as does my passion for people and their potential, because as Richard Branson says so well: "Hiring the right people takes time, the right questions and a healthy dose of curiosity...but the most important factor is personality".
As a bit of a fitness enthusiast, I find my balance after a long day at the office with a round of yoga, in the gym or on a long run in Munich's Olympic Park.
Involved in exciting employer branding projects since day one and part of a great team! As Content Manager, I create exciting stories so everybody is able to experience Burda with all its colors. "Burda, in good company.” is our message, which thrives with each employee, each event, each learning and with every new friendship. Whether you check our careers page, our social media, print or meet us on events – you will quickly understand, that it’s not just a job and we are more than colleagues. How to recognize me? I'm always taking pictures, filming and asking questions.
“You can dream, create, design and build the most beautiful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality. This quote from Walt Disney describes exactly what is important to me in my private life and what makes recruiting an essential area in the company. As a Recruiting Consultant at Burda, I am always looking for the right talent that fits our colorful corporate image.”
I really enjoy overseeing the recruitment process, from advertising a vacancy to choosing a candidate. I’m constantly meeting new people and getting to know our departments a little better. Flexible working allows me to supervise locations throughout Germany from my base in Offenburg. Our team is like Burda itself: creative, diverse and innovative, so I always look forward to coming to work. Once I finish in the evening, I like to go for a run to recharge my batteries for the following day.
My team gives me the opportunity to turn my passion for creative projects into a career. For me, “in good company” means spending my workdays behind a camera – just like my free time. As a content producer in Munich, I bring our employer branding to life through short films, photography and graphics. If you want a first impression of your new employer, then check out our YouTube channel.
“I love inspiring people. Be it through innovative recruiting events that reflect our corporate culture, or through events that offer an unforgettable experience and create a strong bond between employees and the company. Together with my great team, I have the opportunity to not only attract the right talent for the colorful Burda with creative projects and campaigns, but also to promote a dynamic corporate culture.”
I joined Burda in Munich back in 2005 and am still experiencing new things all the time. The company’s versatility and innovative strength are truly impressive. I am given the freedom to focus my recruiting work as I wish and to pursue my personal development. At the moment, I am responsible for the entire trainee selection process and support candidates as they attend the Assessment Center, where authenticity and variety prove particularly valuable.
