BurdaInternational bundles the global activities of Hubert Burda Media. Operating in 11 countries, it employs 2,400 people and owns 250 media brands. As a multi-channel platform that includes media, e-commerce, and other innovative services, BurdaInternational appeals to the passions of its consumers.

Immediate is an innovative media and platform company that publishes numerous renowned magazines in Great Britain, including Radio Times and BBC titles such as Good Food, Top Gear and Top of the Pops. Immediate has been growing steadily for years, both in traditional print and in the booming digital business. With the acquisition of the event specialists Upper Street Events and River Street Events, Immediate is continuing its strategy of focusing on special interest content and communities.

Burda Create! bundles Burda's activities in the international crafting segment. Under this umbrella, the publishing house Aenne Burda (Munich and Offenburg, Germany), the publishing house Editions DIPA (Strasbourg, France) as well as Burda Style Inc. (New York, USA) work closely together and continue to develop the business further: the publishing house Aenne Burda with the core brand Burda Style, whose products are available in 17 languages, the publishing house Editions DIPA, which publishes various crafting brands in twelve European markets, as well as Burda Style Inc. for digital sales in the American markets. What they all have in common is an increasing focus on direct-to-customer business and the expansion of international digital offerings.

Strong and independent national companies in six countries - from France to the Czech Republic - continue their transformation course within the Publishing Europe unit. This unit has a broad digital portfolio and publishes magazines in the segments Women (Fashion & Style), Advisory, Food, Living, Garden, Men (Lifestyle, Cars, Computer), People, interactive magazines (readers write for readers) and crossword puzzles. Publishing Europe is also active in the field of e-commerce, for instance with the e-commerce platform Cocolita in Poland. In addition, several publishers license international titles such as Elle, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar.

The BurdaLuxury unit has a focus on the luxury segment. It’s portfolio comprises magazine brands such as Prestige and online platforms such as Lifestyleasia.com which are aimed at affluent and consumption-oriented sections of the population in Southeast Asia.

CEO

Tom Bureau has been CEO of BurdaInternational since 7 June 2021. He is also Executive Chairman of Immediate Media Co, the UK based special interest content and platform company, which was acquired by Hubert Burda Media in 2017. Bureau was the founding CEO of Immediate Media Group alongside Exponent Private Equity following the merger of Magicalia, Origin Publishing and BBC Magazines. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of Silicon Media Group in 1998, which was sold to CNET Networks, after which he ran CNET’s UK and European business.
