Listed digital company for holidaymakers

HolidayCheck Group AG is one of Europe’s leading digital companies for holidaymakers. Hubert Burda Media is the main shareholder of the Munich-based company. HolidayCheck Group AG encompasses the hotel review and holiday booking portal HolidayCheck, Dutch holiday review and booking portal Zoover, the vehicle rental portal MietwagenCheck and the Meteovista and Weeronline weather portals. The company has around 400 employees in five locations.

At the end of 2001, Focus Digital AG and Tomorrow Internet AG merged to form TOMORROW FOCUS AG. In 2016, the company was renamed HolidayCheck Group AG. Its board is made up of Georg Hesse (CEO), Nate Glissmeyer (CPO) and Markus Scheuermann (CFO). The HolidayCheck Group aims to become the world’s most tourist-friendly company.

Georg Hesse has been CEO of HolidayCheck Group AG (formerly TOMORROW FOCUS AG) since 1 January 2016. Before moving to HolidayCheck Group AG, he was Amazon Germany’s director for “Home Living, Home Appliances, Major Appliances and Toys”. He began his career in the music and media industry as head of music at the radio station Energy München and moved to Amazon in 1999, where he took on various executive roles and was responsible for establishing and expanding central product lines.
