Aliz Tepfenhart to leave Burda

Aliz Tepfenhart, Managing Director of BurdaDigital SE and BurdaCommerce SE, will be leaving the company on friendly terms and at her own request within the next few months. Following her departure, Marc Al-Hames will take over her duties as the responsible Member of the Executive Board until further notice.

Aliz Tepfenhart joined Burda in 2015 from Baur Versand to build up Burda's retail division for growth. Under the common umbrella of BurdaCommerce, the company bundles the e-commerce subsidiary Cyberport SE – with the two brands Computeruniverse and Cyberport as well as the subsidiaries Cyberport Services, CP Retail and Cyberport IT Services – the technology service provider Cybersolutions and the online retailer for premium wines Silkes Weinkeller.

Under Aliz Tepfenhart, Cyberport has developed into one of Europe's largest consumer electronics retailers of and an omni-channel specialist for B2B and B2C customers. In addition to its headquarters in Dresden and stores in Germany and Austria, the company has established a state-of-the-art logistics centre in Siebenlehn, Saxony, as well as a nationwide IT system house for B2B services.

Particularly during the coronavirus pandemic, when the demand for laptops increased many times over, Aliz Tepfenhart made the impossible possible and Cyberport was able to meet the soaring demand.
