Behind the Scenes @Focus Online

Many different people work together in a newsroom. One of them being the managing editor. But what does the managing editor actually do? Let's take a closer look Behind the Scenes - this time at Focus Online. Managing editor Maik Mosheim shows us where the ideas for the topics and articles on the front page come from, how he selects the relevant articles and how the brand teams at BurdaForward work together.

Does AI make everything easier?

Focus Online is already working with several AI tools. These include an AI-assisted measurement method for constructive content and a "control cockpit" for the home page. However, AI will not be able to replace the managing editor at a news portal like Focus Online. Important skills such as journalistic intuition and flair simply cannot be replaced.

Thank you to BurdaForward and Focus Online for allowing us to immerse ourselves in your daily work. We are already looking forward to the next "Behind the Scenes"!

In our format "Behind the Scenes" we take a look behind the scenes of the Burda universe. From small ideas to big projects, from the Burda Bar to gala dinners, from the print shop to podcasts - we go behind the scenes - and you are right there with us.
