The BAMBI 2024 in the “Our Earth” category will be awarded tonight to one of the most successful extreme mountaineers of our time: Reinhold Messner.
Bryan Adams is a musician and photographer who has written some of the most iconic songs of all time, he has created a unique body of artistic work, and demonstrated exceptional social commitment. This year, the BAMBI 2024 Award in the category ‘Legend‘ will be presented to him.
"Bryan Adams has composed the soundtrack to our lives. For over four decades, his melodic rock has been a constant presence, with heartfelt songs that speak directly to our emotions. Adams is a master of timeless, feel-good rock, drawing us into his world with irresistibly catchy tunes that make us sing along, feel deeply, and reminisce. From anthems like 'Summer of ‘69' to ballads like 'Everything I Do (I Do It for You)', Adams' musical range and unmistakable style have cemented his place in music history. His raspy yet smooth voice is instantly recognisable, and his ability to reinvent himself artistically is remarkable. Whether it’s the classic rock ballad 'All For Love' – a collaboration with Rod Stewart and Sting – his contributions to major film soundtracks, or his unforgettable anthem for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Adams has consistently proven his versatility and artistic depth. As a composer, guitarist, producer, and singer, Adams says ‘he doesn’t fit the stereotypical rockstar‘. Yet his enduring popularity, celebrated tours, and the global hits he has created for both himself and other artists have firmly established his legendary status."
