DLD invites influential and prominent personalities to Davos for the crowning finale of DLD Munich 25.
When DLD founder Steffi Czerny introduced the new motto "Reality rules" and announced the comeback of DLD Munich after the Corona break from 14-16 January 2022, she had no idea that the reality would soon catch up with her, too.
"The Corona situation in Germany and Europe continues to come to a head, the impact of the Omikron mutation on infection numbers is difficult to predict and it is unclear whether major events will be at all possible over the coming months. That is why we have decided to cancel DLD Munich, which was planned for January, and to postpone it until autumn next year,"

The decision was not easy for her and the team, as everyone was excited to reunite in Munich with the international DLD community before the World Economic Forum and the speaker acquisition had already been very successful. "I am very grateful that the partners, friends, and speakers of DLD completely understand our decision. We all agree that protecting health is a top priority and we are already looking forward to meeting again in person later in 2022."
Czerny hopes to revive in-person networking no later than the second quarter of 2022: Both a DLD Salon in San Francisco and a DLD Conference in New York City are planned for the spring. Burda celebrated its conference premiere in the so-called "Big Apple" in 2014 with DLD New York and has since hosted four more conferences there - most recently in 2018.
On the DLD agenda in early summer 2022 is also the kick-off event for the European Innovation Roadshow in Brussels, which had to be cancelled at short notice due to Corona for this month. Together with UnternehmerTUM, Europe's leading start-up incubator, DLD has decided to tour the innovation centres of the EU member states to identify future makers in the countries and connect the local ecosystems with each other, but also with the international communities of DLD and UnternehmerTUM.
So there are plenty of DLD highlights to look forward to in the coming year!
