DLD Munich 25 takes place at a time of great change. From 16 to 18 January 2025, Burda's international innovation platform DLD (Digital, Life, Design) is calling for a positive outlook on the future under the motto ‘Fut…
After a successful conference comeback in early July, Burda's innovation conference DLD (Digital, Life, Design) announces another hybrid conference format which puts sustainability - one of the most pressing topics of our times - on top of the agenda. Pairing up with BMW, DLD Circular brings international experts on stage to discuss innovative perspectives for a sustainable and circular economy. The speaker line-up includes leaders from the fields of industry, tech and science, but it is artists and creatives who are in the spotlight of the conference providing new impulses and ideas as they are sensitive seismographs for changes in our society. The conference will be staged on September 7 - the first day of the IAA Mobility - at BMW Welt in Munich.
Speakers that already confirmed their attendance include composer and music producer Hans Zimmer, stage artist Es Devlin, film director and architect Liam Young, and Francis Kéré, founder and CEO of Kéré Architecture and one of the most important representatives of socially engaged architecture. Oliver Zipse, CEO of BMW AG, Kristina Kloberdanz, Chief Sustainability Officer of Mastercard, and Victoria Osadnik, COO of Eon, will also share their visions live on stage while Gabriela Hearst, Creative Director at Chloé will join virtually.
"Our world is changing radically due to new technologies, but also due to the current pandemic, geopolitical developments and climate change. We believe that the vision of a circular economy opens up countless opportunities for innovative business models and enables a long-term rethinking of how we treat the environment. It is important to look at the concept holistically and change perspectives occasionally - that's exactly what we intend to do at DLD Circular. To start this journey, we need both, pragmatic plans and strong creative visions that motivate and guide us. At DLD Circular, numerous creatives and artists will share their impulses on the future of our world. They will be joined by decision-makers from business and science. This interdisciplinary approach makes the format particularly relevant and exciting!"
