While there is only one month to go until the 15th DLD (Digital, Life, Design) innovation conference in Munich from January 19th – 21st 2019, Burda confirms further high-level speakers.
Sheryl Sandberg @DLD19
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and one of the most influential managers worldwide, will be appearing at the DLD conference in January. Sandberg has been COO of Facebook for over ten years. Following her appearance at DLD 2012, she will again be the keynote speaker at Burda's innovation conference under the motto "Optimism & Courage" in January.
In addition to Sandberg, another top speaker from the tech industry has confirmed his attendance: Estonian developer and Skype co-founder Jaan Tallin. Tallin is physicist and critic of artificial intelligence. The British author and TED speaker Rachel Botsman also takes a critical look at digitization. In her book "Who Can You Trust", she examines the profound ways trust is shifting in our digitized world.
Art, Culture & Politics
Besides business leaders and top speakers from the digital industry, DLD brings exciting personalities from the fields of art, culture and politics on stage. Amongst them is Ballet superstar Sergei Polunin who is known for his impressive performances full of charisma and outstanding technique. Sergei’s “Take Me To Church” dance video set to the music of Hozier has reached over 25 million views. The contemporary video artist Jon Rafman, curator Hans-Ulrich Obrist (Serpentine Galleries) and EPP lead candidate Manfred Weber will also be represented on the DLD stage.
