From 15 to 17 January, DLD Munich 26 explored artificial intelligence, Europe’s digital sovereignty and the role of humanity in an increasingly accelerated world.
The DLD Nightcap is considered the social highlight of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Hubert Burda Media and DLD host this fixture in the WEF calendar. The event connects the DLD 26 conference, which took place in Munich from 15 to 17 January, with the high-level gathering of world leaders in the Swiss Alps.
Yesterday evening (20 January 2026) over 300 guests followed the invitation of DLD founder and curator Steffi Czerny, DLD Chairman Yossi Vardi, Markus Blume, Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts, and Ruslan Husry, CEO of Revo Hospitality Group. The DLD Nightcap 2026 took place at the Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère in Davos.
In addition to Burda board members Christian Teichmann and Lydia Rullkötter, the DLD Nightcap was a meeting place for business leaders, politicians, investors and media makers. Among them were author Scott Galloway, Christian Sewing (CEO Deutsche Bank), AI pioneer Richard Socher, Commerzbank CEO Bettina Orlopp, SAP board member Thomas Saueressig, Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel, German Federal Environment Minister Carsten Schneider, Philipp Justus (Google Germany), tech ethicist Tristan Harris, Bosch CEO Stefan Hartung, Goldman Sachs CEO Wolfgang Fink and Oerlikon CEO Michael Süß.
