C3 starts a new production company. Hooray heralds the next generation of film production by combining three things that are too often viewed in isolation: creative ideas, production and distribution.
Every day, more and more people are fleeing Ukraine for the safety of Germany. Upon arrival, they are confronted with a deluge of papers and a new, unfamiliar environment. Luckily, many refugees are being taken in by locals who can help them to navigate the bureaucracy while offering security and support. There’s just one problem.
“The information about which processes Ukrainian refugees have to complete and when is scattered across the internet. There’s also a lack of information on how to ensure the healthiest possible social environment – or if the information is there, it’s difficult to find. Our guide collates all of this information, both for hosts and for people looking for somewhere to stay.”
Agnes Stockburger, Executive Director Content at C3
“Hereinspaziert” (which translates as “Come on in”) explains the entire process in detail and guides (potential) hosts through four main areas step by step: deciding to host, getting ready, welcoming guests and living together. It’s also a helpful resource for refugees and aid organisations.
Since the rules differ from place to place, “Hereinspaziert” covers every German city with a C3 office: Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. The guide is currently available in German and English; Ukrainian and Russian versions will be added soon. It is continuously updated and more information is being added all the time.
The idea for the website came from the C3 team: “We all wanted to contribute in some way. As we spoke to individuals and organisations, we realised the important role that hosts play – and the need for an easily accessible guide that takes them by the hand and supports them every step of the way. Thanks to the team’s expertise, we soon got it off the ground”, says Agnes Stockburger.
