DLD announces hybrid conference for July 1

None

After many months of social distancing, Burda's international innovation conference DLD announces the first physical conference since the outbreak of Covid-19 to discuss the fundamental changes we face in the pandemic aftermath: On July 1, DLD Summer, a hybrid conference, is planned at Munich Urban Colab - the new innovation center for Smart City Solutions of the City of Munich and "UnternehmerTUM", a leading center for innovation and start-ups.

"It's time to revive the unique DLD spirit with real guests and real connections. That's why we've made the optimistic plan to host a hybrid event at Munich Urban Colab in early July, welcoming our community not only digitally, but also live on-site with around 100 guests - of course taking into account the current Corona requirements. For more than 15 years, DLD has been following how digitalisation is changing our world. Frontier technologies - from artificial intelligence to bioengineering to quantum computing - will soon bring us a more fundamental wave of change. With our motto 'It's only the beginning ...' we want to call on everyone to sharpen their view of these upcoming developments. I look forward to exciting discussions and personal encounters - live on-site and digitally!"

Steffi Czerny, DLD Managing Director

Optimistic as usual, DLD plans to welcome the majority of speakers live on-site. The current line-up includes Belén Garijo, new CEO of pharmaceutical company Merck, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, VDA President Hildegard Müller, Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President Mini at BMW Group, MIT economist Andrew McAfee, and Lithuanian politician Virginijus Sinkevicius, who became the youngest EU Commissioner in December 2019 in charge of Environment, Oceans and Fisheries.

While on-site participation is "by invitation only", everyone is invited to participate online free of charge via a one-time registration on https://dld.techcast.cloud/. For press accreditation, please contact dldpress@burda.com.
