DLD invites influential and prominent personalities to Davos for the crowning finale of DLD Munich 25.
The DLD team around Managing Director Steffi Czerny today confirmed further prominent speakers for its new online format DLD All Stars: Biontech founder Ugur Sahin, who developed a vaccine against the coronavirus in a record time of only ten months together with the US company Pfizer, has confirmed his participation. In addition, BMW CEO Oliver Zipse, Linkedin founder Reid Hoffmann, Youtube CBO Robert Kyncl and EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel will be speaking at DLD All Stars. The newly created online format was originally planned for two days, but will now be extended by an additional day. Experts from various fields and companies will share their personal views on this year's DLD motto "What the World Needs Now".
Learning from thought leaders
The digital event opens Europe's largest innovation conference to participants from all over the world: from 21 to 23 February, top speakers will gather daily between 4 and 8 p.m. German time with keynotes and panel discussions in the virtual space. Sara Weber from LinkedIn, for example, will moderate a session with Stefan Oschmann (Merck) and Pardis Sabeti from Harvard University; Reid Hoffman (Greylock/Masters of Scale) will hold a virtual discussion with June Cohen, who is one of the world's most successful podcast producers with her media company Wait What. Marketing guru Scott Galloway, who traditionally fills the DLD ranks with his sharp predictions, will give a keynote on 23 February. Also returning to the DLD stage will be Filipino journalist Maria Ressa, whose tireless fight for freedom of speech and against fake news was celebrated by the audience at last year's DLD conference in Munich.
"Many of the DLD All Stars speakers are serial entrepreneurs who have already experienced and shaped decisive changes of our time. We want to learn from them how we should deal with the changes caused by the pandemic, the increasing shift to Asia or disruptive technologies."
