It’s the final countdown for Burda’s online conference DLD All Stars which will kick off from February 21-23 with top speakers from 15 years of DLD history.

Before the official opening, the DLD All Stars will present a unique thematic deep dive: bestselling author and Economics Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman and his co-authors Cass Sunstein and Olivier Sibony will join the DLD All Stars stage to talk about their latest work "Noise". The term ‘noise’ refers to the multitude of often random factors that interfere with and often negatively influence our decision-making. The panel will provide an exclusive preview of the book which will be released in May 2021.

With Tristan Harris, well-known as the protagonist of the Netflix documentary "The Social Dilemma", another DLD All Star has confirmed his attendance. For more reasons, why you should not miss out on the DLD All Stars-sessions, DLD’s Managing Director Steffi Czerny provides further insights:

How did the idea for the DLD All Stars evolve and what’s unique about the digital event?

In times of a pandemic, Friendship is even more important. It makes me very happy that our DLD friends – many of whom are outstanding role models in their fields – are coming together at the DLD All Stars to discuss the question "What The Worlds Needs Now ...". Most of the speakers are serial entrepreneurs or proven experts in their field such as Facebook investor Jim Breyer, LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman or investor Ben Horowitz. They all bring a lot of experience to the table and have often predicted the future.

Which speakers are you looking forward to the most?

As an enthusiastic host, I’m excited about everyone joining us because all our DLD All Stars speakers are special guests to me. I was particularly thrilled to hear that Ugur Sahin, founder of Biontech, confirmed his attendance because he is currently in high demand and one of the key figures in the fight against the pandemic. Five years ago, Ugur Sahin has already spoken at DLD Health which proofs that we bring speakers on stage who have the potential for creating something life-changing.

Why did you decide to offer the DLD All Stars sessions free of charge?

The pandemic is affecting us all, so we want to fight the increasing social isolation that a lot of people are struggling with by providing inspiring talks, new perspectives and fresh ideas. We can offer the event free of charge thanks to the support of our partners BMW, Merck, Brainlab, HVB, Freenow, BurdaPrincipal Investments, Acton, Techcast, "FAZ" and You Mawo.

In addition to exciting talks, DLD is known as a platform for intensive networking. Will participants get the chance to network during the DLD All Stars-sessions as well?

Networking is an important part of DLD, so we are starting an experiment during the DLD All Stars: We are offering online networking with algorithmic match-making. In addition, we invite everyone to our DLD All Stars After-Hour at Clubhouse on Sunday, February 21, for further networking and exciting talks.
