DLD travels around the world

None

Besides the big conferences in Munich and, recently, in Tel Aviv, DLD organizes additional networking events this year in Tokyo, New York and Palo Alto for instance. These events offer participants opportunities to network and pursue exciting discussions in a smaller group.

Arts scene in London

Two weeks ago, the DLD team collaborated with Hans Ulrich Obrist again to get a DLDsalon event off the ground in London. The well-known curator already put DLD in touch with celebrities such as Ai Weiwei and Yoko Ono. Invited guests met up for breakfast as part of the arts event “Serpentine Miracle Marathon“. These included artists Gilbert & George and Turkish author Elif Shafak among others.

DLD goes to Tokyo

Japan is a new location: Last week, DLDsalon took place in Tokyo for the first time. DLD directors Steffi Czerny and Dominik Wichmann and Bavarian Minister of State Beate Merk welcomed about 60 guests from Japan and Europe. Tokyo, which has an innovative technology scene, is exactly the right place for strengthening DLD’s network in Japan and making new contacts.

The next stop will be New York: At the end of October, start ups, VCs and researchers will be able to compare notes while having breakfast together in the Big Apple. The last destination on the trip around the world is Palo Alto. DLDsalon is already well-established in the Californian city: In mid-November, international guests will meet there for lunch to discuss Silicon Valley’s hottest topics.

Right at the beginning of the New Year, the next big thing will be taking place: From 15 to 17 January, the digital elite will come together again at DLD17 in Munich!
