As DLD sits at the intersection of science, business, culture and politics, many aspects of the corona crisis are related to topics, experts and institutions in the DLD community which can inspire us to new solutions.
Even though much of the digitalization process currently seems to be going in the wrong direction, complaining doesn’t help us as a society. Anyone who wants a better future must help to shape it. Positive alternatives are needed! This is is exactly what the DLD conference in Munich in January promises with women such as Joanna Shields, CEO of BenevolentAI, who is revolutionizing medicine with artificial intelligence, or Fatoumata Ba, whose company Janngo is setting up a start-up ecosystem for Africa.
DLD (Digital, Life, Design), Hubert Burda Media's major European innovation conference, invites the international digital elite to the 15th DLD Conference in Munich from 19-21 January. Along this year’s theme "Optimism & Courage", about 150 international speakers and up to 1500 participants are expected at a new location: The Alte Kongresshalle (Old Congress Hall) on Munich's Schwanthalerhöhe will be the venue for the DLD conference in 2019.
Optimism & Courage
After last year’s motto “reconquer!”, there is a clear message behind the upcoming conference in 2019 as well.
“Optimism & Courage is the motto for DLD Munich, because I am convinced that digitalization offers us all great opportunities. We need courage and optimism to seize these opportunities, but also to meet the challenges. At DLD Munich, we want to look ahead and shape the future positively."
Steffi Czerny, DLD founder
