As it is tradition, DLD and Hubert Burda Media once again hosted the DLD Nightcap in Davos this year. This party, marking the opening of the World Economic Forum (WEF), served as the grand finale of the DLD Munich 25, which took place from January 16th to 18th. Three days after celebrating the 20th anniversary of the innovation conference in Munich, hosts Elisabeth Burda Furtwängler and Dr. Jacob Burda (both Hubert Burda Media), DLD founder Steffi Czerny, DLD Chairman Yossi Vardi, and Ruslan Husry, CEO of the HR Group, welcomed around 500 guests to the Steigenberger Belvédère Hotel. Philipp Welte, a board member of Burda, also made it a point to personally greet the attendees in the Swiss Alps.
The guest list included influential and prominent figures from the worlds of business, politics, investment, art, and media, such as Thomas Saueressig (SAP), Fatoumata Ba (Janngo Capital), Finance Minister Jörg Kukies, Jonas Andrulis (Aleph Alpha), AI scientist and author Gary Marcus, European Parliament member Eva Maydell, and climate activist Luisa Neubauer, as well as Sandrine Dixson-Declève (Club of Rome). Other notable attendees included Stefan Hartung (Bosch), Markus Kamieth (BASF), German Chancellery Minister Wolfgang Schmidt, Angie Gifford (META), Isabell Hülsen (SPIEGEL), and Oliver Blume (Volkswagen).
The DLD Nightcap featured a musical performance by DJ, producer, and activist Chmba from Malawi. Guests enjoyed cocktails with DLD branding, expertly crafted by the “LiquidChefs” from London.
