Focus Money launches award for female financial elite

None

Focus Money, the finance and business magazine, is set to present its first Female Finance Award. The award is aimed at the female financial elite and is the first of its kind in Germany. Each year, Focus Money will honour three outstanding women from the financial scene in categories entitled “Female Pioneer”, “Next Generation” and “Sustainability”. Winners will be selected by a diverse, high-calibre jury and the Focus Money editorial team.

“Unfortunately, the face that finance presents to the outside world is still largely determined by men. And yet many successful women of all ages are making waves in the sector. At Focus Money, we devote our attention to these women by turning the spotlight on their ideas, expertise and achievements. And we won’t just be doing this in the magazine – now we have our own award”, says Georg Meck, editor-in-chief of Focus Money. Meck continues: “Whether a woman works for a bank, insurance provider, investment company or fintech, whether she’s a politician focused on finance or the chief financial officer of an industrial company, this award gives her the opportunity to boost her visibility in the financial sector.”

The Focus Money editorial team has selected over 100 candidates for the award. A recommendation campaign will also be launched this week, allowing readers and users to nominate additional candidates. Focus Money will advertise the campaign in its latest issue (#19) and on its LinkedIn and Instagram channels.
