BCN and Burda’s four national media groups came together on Thursday in Munich’s Upside East for the second Health Lab by Burda, an exclusive industry event.
For StockFood the gardening season starts at the beginning of the year. Since 1 January 2017, Burda’s wholly-owned subsidiary has been responsible for the exclusive distribution of images by Friedrich Strauss Gartenbildagentur, a leading German agency for garden pictures. It has also launched a new website.

In demand all over the world
The database consisting of more than 100 000 images mainly includes photographs by renowned garden and plant photographer Friedrich Strauss, as well as works by other professional garden photographers. The collection focuses on the topics garden, balcony & terrace, home plants & floristry and practical gardening. It also includes step-by-step guides. The top-class images are not only published in German gardening publications, such as magazines by the leader of the garden magazine market BurdaHome. They are also used across the world and can be found both on Japanese magazine covers and in Brazilian school books.
New online appearance
The new website developed by StockFood offers image users intelligent search filters packed with special features for looking successfully for the perfect subject. It is now possible to buy the images online. Soon the garden image agency will also be launched individually as part of Picturemaxx media network. The customer advisors of Friedrich Strauss Gartenbildagentur will become part of StockFood’s team in Munich, continuing to use their wide range of specialist botanical knowledge to provide customers with creative diversity, outstanding picture quality and professional indexing.
