"Whether international or protagonists we have chosen from the German-speaking world - they all represent not only their voice, however extraordinary, but the great polyphony of a new generation. From poetry to summer beats, from activism to acting and politics, young people like Florence Pugh, Luisa Neubauer, Emilio Sakraya or Zoe Wees have understood a lot and give us hope."
Kerstin Schneider, editor-in-chief Harper's Bazaar
One of the icons, Ricarda Lang, who at 28 is the federal chairwoman of the Green Party, names as role models, along with politicians Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rita Süssmuth, the people she works with "who inspire her in small ways."
