Immediate Media, the UK’s leading media company (and part of Burda since 2017), has appointed Dan Constanda to the newly-created dual role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Finance Officer (CFO). Constanda joins from Canada’s "Vice Media", where he was International CFO.
Constanda will join the Immediate team in January 2020, reporting to CEO Tom Bureau. He will lead Immediate’s Finance, Legal, Subscriptions, Advertising, Contract & Customer and Production departments.
Prior to "Vice", Constanda was SVP and COO of "CNN International", where he helped to grow "CNN"’s global revenues through performance marketing, traffic partnerships and new product development, while driving the performance of multiple commercial teams including Business Development, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Research, Strategy, and Ad Operations. Dan has also held senior finance and leadership roles at Sony Music Entertainment, AOL, private equity firm The Gores Group and Boston Consulting Group.
“I am looking forward to joining Immediate at this exciting time in their development as they continue to implement their transformational growth strategy."
Dan Constanda, Immediate COO & CFO
“I am delighted to welcome Dan to Immediate. Dan brings a wealth of experience in running scaled finance and operations teams and a strategic perspective to business and corporate development which will help maintain and accelerate our growth. I would also like to thank our outgoing CFO, Kevin Langford, for the significant role he has played in the success of Immediate over the last eight years and wish him all the best for the future.”
Tom Bureau, Immediate CEO
Constanda replaces Kevin Langford, who - after 21 years with "BBC Worldwide" and subsequently Immediate - has decided to step back from the business to focus on new challenges. As an instrumental figure in Immediate’s success over the last eight years, Langford will continue in an advisory role around key projects for the Immediate board.
