What exactly is your job at Burda?
I am Principal at BurdaPrincipal Investments. BurdaPrincipal Investments is a venture capital provider for later stage, fast growing consumer companies including marketplaces, ecommerce and digital networks. We invest across the US, Europe, and South East Asia. Since 2015, some of our investments include Etsy, Vinted, Zilingo, Baublebar, Not on the High Street, Bloom & Wild, and Skillshare.
When and why did you join Burda?
March 2018. Because Burda is a true consumer platform: Burda’s consumer expertise (having invested in consumer models previously at Unilever Ventures) and the truly global nature of Burda’s reach.
What makes your office unique?
We have a fantastic community of people here, a great events space and in a central London location!
Compared to other cities, what are the advantages and disadvantages working in London?
Pros: London is an international and vibrant city with endless things to see and do. Cons: The tube may be a little more crowded than other cities!
What’s your favorite spot to relax after work?
There are some beautiful spots by the river; grass, bars, restaurants – that I would recommend to check out!
