Björn Rettig is appointed as new CEO of BurdaLuxury. He replaces with immediate effect Sven Friedrichs, who has headed Burda's business in Asia since 2017.
Burda is a company for entrepreneurs, including above all young founders with creative ideas. One such idea came from Jasiek Stasz, the co-founder and managing director of the Polish fashion platform Showroom: He offers young designers a digital platform on which to present their work. To boost the Burda holding’s German profile, the corporate communications department has now organised its first press day in Munich.
Over 70 fashion experts in the Galerie Leu
In the Galerie Leu near Maximilianstrasse in Munich, fashion experts from Burda and other media brands came into direct contact with the products and the people behind the site. More than 70 editors, stylists, bloggers and other influencers accepted the invitation, including Instyle editor-in-chief Kerstin Weng, Deborah Neufeld (deputy fashion director at Bunte), blogger Nina Süß, Isa Petereit (deputy editor-in-chief at Brigitte) and Petra Winter (editor-in-chief of Madame). Stasz and the PR team took the opportunity to present the Showroom concept in more detail along with selected pieces from the independent designers.
Positive response to the Showroom press day
Stasz was delighted by the response, concluding that: “The press day was an important step for us to raise awareness of the brand with the key multipliers on the fashion scene. We are thrilled with this great success and the positive response.”
