The Burda content management system Thunder celebrates an important milestone: Thunder 3 is here! With this update, the team has prepared the editorial system for the launch of Drupal 9 next year.
Mein-schöner-garten.de and the agency undpaul, who have implemented the relaunch of the garden portal, have received the Splash Award as best Drupal project in the publishers/media category.
Mein-schoener-garten.de was one of the first portals that were converted to Burda’s Thunder content management system and Drupal distribution. After the large-scale relaunch of the website and the online shop, the Mein schöner Garten brand has an attractive and modern new online look and a user-friendly design on all digital end devices.
“We benefit from Thunder”
Thunder is one of the first big German Drupal projects and distributions in Germany. The team of Ingo Rübe, CTO of Burda Magazine Holding, which developed Thunder, supports the German Drupal community by organizing a wide range of events such as the Drupal Code Sprint.
Open source evangelist and jury chairman Jeffrey A. Mc Guire also stressed Thunder’s significance in Germany:
“Thunder’s Freemium version includes many functions, modes of operation and services that all media can use. We benefit from Thunder and it is used more and more, I think that is really great,” he said, thanking the team.
