From 9 to 11 September, DLD (Digital, Life, Design) will host the first DLD Future Hub: Impact of AI. The focus will be on two of the greatest challenges and opportunities of our time: Circular Economy and AI.
DLD Media, a leading platform at the intersection of technology, business and society, has appointed Alessia Sinzger as co-managing director. She will be leading the international network alongside its founder, Steffi Czerny.
DLD (Digital, Life, Design) is regarded as one of the leading global platforms for exchange between technology, business, science, art and culture. Since its founding in 2005, DLD has brought together thought leaders to discuss key questions of digital transformation and to provide new impetus for social and economic change. With its uniquely curated approach, DLD, as a journalistic format, stands above all for interdisciplinary dialogue and unexpected perspectives.
Alessia Sinzger has been a defining force behind DLD for more than 14 years. In her previous role as Chief Commercial Officer, she played a key part in shaping the development of the platform, with a focus on building and maintaining a strong partner
network.
With her move into the management team, she will now assume responsibility for developing new national and international business partnerships and driving DLD’s commercial growth through innovative formats and business models. In doing so, she will strengthen the platform’s entrepreneurial foundations and develop new ways for DLD to connect relevant stakeholders across the German-speaking and European space and unlock economic potential.
Steffi Czerny, who together with her team has built DLD into an internationally renowned brand over more than two decades, will continue to be responsible for the platform’s editorial and content direction. Both report to Christian Teichmann, who has been responsible for the new Ventures & Network division on Burda’s Executive Board since 1 January 2026.

In addition to her many years of operational experience, Alessia brings international academic expertise: she holds an Executive Master’s degree from the London School of Economics (LSE), including study periods in Beijing and Bangalore.
Steffi Czerny adds: “Anyone who knows DLD understands how profoundly Alessia has shaped this platform for more than 14 years. Now we are shaping the next chapter together and I am very much looking forward to this new phase.”
