Interview with Nutracheck's Co-founder Rachel Hartley

Nutracheck is based at The Point, in West Bridgford in Nottingham. Our office is on the third floor, with views of the world-renowned Trent Bridge cricket ground. Football fans may be interested to know that the Nottingham Forest ground is just a short distance away!
Nottingham is in the heart of the UK, just a couple of hours from London by train. The city is most famous for its legendary hero outlaw, Robin Hood! Nottingham Castle is positioned on the top of a hill riddled with underground caves and passages. Although the castle may not quite live up to visitors' expectations set by the Hollywood blockbuster 'Robin Hood', Nottingham has an amazing network of caves – from ancient tanneries to gambling dens – right below shoppers' feet. The city has incredible restaurants, a large student community, a vibrant nightlife and plenty of sports going on. From the Panthers ice hockey team, two football clubs, the National Watersports Centre and of course Trent Bridge, which plays host to Test matches and internationals. Plus, world-class music venues including The Royal Concert Hall and The Motorpoint Arena. Disadvantages? Probably the proximity to the sea and beaches! Our central location means we are a few hours' drive to the coast.
Nutracheck's mantra is 'it's about balance'. After-work activities range from the NC football team to the NC Run Club and boot camp in the park (summertime only), but most invariably we end up in a pub. Favourite drinking spots include the Brewhouse on Trent Bridge overlooking the river, or a real ale pub, the Stratford Haven. It's wherever the mood takes us!
