At Immediate Media, a subsidiary of Burda and a multinational publishing house with 1,300 employees, Marlen had the opportunity to get actively involved in the food sector. She had the exciting task of developing the social media strategy for the Instagram and TikTok channels for Olive magazine. Thanks to her previous trainee position at InStyle in the social media sector, Marlen was able to apply her acquired skills perfectly. In addition, she researched how the magazine could be expanded beyond the culinary sector.
Immediate Media wins you over not only with its impressive atmosphere, but also with its open-hearted team. The monthly "Ask me anything" events, where employees are able to get to know the chefs on a personal level, make the management very approachable. Of course, working in the food sector has its advantages: There is always something delicious to try in the test kitchen.
For Marlen, her stay in London was like "coming home", especially after her Master's degree in Project & Innovation Management at the University of Sussex. London is her favorite city after Munich, a bit noisier, but full of cultural activities and with an afternoon sun that you simply have to see on the Thames.
