The BAMBI 2024 in the “Our Earth” category will be awarded tonight to one of the most successful extreme mountaineers of our time: Reinhold Messner.
Starting his career as a member of the iconic boy band Take That in the 1990s, Robbie Williams has become one of the world’s most celebrated solo artists and continues to captivate audiences with his exceptional talent as an entertainer. Williams has enjoyed a remarkable career, recognised twice before with BAMBI Awards. Tonight, he will receive the BAMBI 2024 in the category “Entertainment”. Prior to the award presentation, the entertainer will open the dazzling ceremony with “Better Man,” the title track from his biographical film “Better Man – The Robbie Williams Story”. Robbie Williams was presented with his third golden BAMBI statuette by the evening's hosts, Sasha and Victoria Swarovski.
Robbie Williams is the greatest entertainer of our time. From rock to jazz, he moves effortlessly between musical genres, imprinting each with his unique voice and charismatic personality. His ballads have become anthems; his emotional ‘Angels’ has touched listeners for nearly three decades. Despite his global success, he remains genuine, with a touch of British self-irony and humility in both his performances and in ‘Better Man – The Robbie Williams Story’, making him truly one of a kind.

Good Things Come in Threes
Robbie Williams was born in Stoke-on-Trent in 1974. At 16, he joined Take That as the youngest member. Initially in a supporting vocal role, he soon rose to prominence, sharing the lead with Gary Barlow. Take That became one of the most successful British pop bands, with twelve singles – including “Pray” and “Back for Good” – and nine albums topping the charts worldwide.
In 1995, Williams left Take That to pursue a solo career. His debut album, Life thru a Lens, was released in 1997 and spent 40 weeks in the British Top 10. “Angels,” the album’s fourth single, became a signature hit that continues to resonate with fans today, moving audiences to sing along at his concerts. With hits such as “She’s the One,” “Sing When You’re Winning,” and “Rock DJ,” twelve studio albums, and over 75 million records sold, the now 50-year-old Williams ranks among the most successful entertainers of all time. Over his career, he has won numerous awards, including 18 Brit Awards, a German ECHO, and now his third BAMBI.
Robbie Williams first received the BAMBI Award in the category “Entertainment” 2013, and his second BAMBI in 2016 for “International Music.”
