He has been one of the world's most successful artists for decades: the BAMBI 2024 in the category ‘Legend’ goes to musician and photographer Bryan Adams.
Her seventh single, “Bauch, Beine, Po,” was officially recognised by German market research company GfK as the summer hit of 2024. Topping the German charts since July, the song has marked her seventh number one hit – a record-breaking achievement that no other artist in Germany has reached before her. But that’s just one highlight: last year, Shirin David completed her first sold-out tour across the country’s largest arenas, and this summer she headlined Germany’s top music festivals, including Rolling Loud, Splash!, and Lollapalooza.
“Shirin David is a powerhouse as a musician, entertainer, and entrepreneur. With her songs, she empowers young audiences to be unapologetically themselves – and her success speaks volumes.”

In 2019, then 24, Shirin David received her first BAMBI in the category “Shooting Star”, recognised for her meteoric rise as a social media sensation, her unique talent for creating content that resonates with youth, and her first number-one solo album, “Supersize”. Since then, Shirin David has only moved in one direction: upward. Now 29, with eight gold and two platinum certifications and over a billion streams, she ranks among the most successful German artists of all time. This year, she will receive the BAMBI 2024 in the category “Music National”.
Born in Hamburg in 1995, Shirin David developed her musical abilities early, learning piano, violin, and oboe, and training at the Youth Opera Academy in Hamburg. Her public career began as a YouTube podcaster before she established herself as a leading music artist. In 2015, her first single, released with musician Ado Kojo, reached the top ten on the German singles charts. TV audiences got to know her in 2017 when she joined the judging panel of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (RTL). Two years later, she became the first German hip-hop artist to reach number one with her debut rap album “Supersize”. In 2023, she served as a coach on “The Voice of Germany” (ProSieben) and as a judge on “Drag Race Germany” (Paramount+). Collaborating with Helene Fischer, Shirin David released a cross-genre rendition of Fischer’s mega-hit “Atemlos durch die Nacht,” which secured Fischer her first number-one single on the German charts. Their joint performance on the final episode of “Wetten, dass...?” remains unforgettable. With her latest single, “It Girl,” her third album is already on the horizon.
