Not on the High Street , the UK’s best-loved curated online marketplace for unique lifestyle products and thoughtful gifts, today announces it has been acquired by growth equity firm Great Hill Partners.
Showroom is the leading marketplace for independent designer fashion in Poland. Since the start of the German platform in 2015, the brand has rapidly grown in the market. To further support this path, Burda has raised its stake to 64 percent, while the founders Michal Juda and Jasiek Stasz hold a combined 36 percent of the companies’ shares.
"We see great potential in independent fashion in Europe and in particular in Showroom and are excited to have the opportunity to invest in a strong team and business model. To further support the management’s strategy of growth and expansion into additional countries, Burda has paid in this year’s entire investment round.”
Christian Teichmann, managing director BurdaPrincipal Investments
“Burda with its long-term investment focus has been an important and reliable partner for us as founders and executing our growth strategy and we look forward to making the next expansion phase happening."
Jasiek Stasz, founder of Showroom
On August 1st Christian Graggaber has been appointed as managing director Showroom Germany. Graggaber has worked as chief digital officer (CDO) for BurdaRussia since 2013. He will strengthen the German team and work on the ramp up of Showroom Germany. The presence of Showroom will be boosted by the new showroom space in Linienstraße 77 in the heart of Berlin’s fashion scene.
