BurdaSolutions is the internal IT service provider of Hubert Burda Media. The BurdaSolutions team combines a passion for digital media and IT. At the Munich site, they drive forward many developments and develop new, innovative solutions with a great deal of creativity.
As the Project Management Team of Business Solutions, we are responsible for managing complex IT projects. In the course of the project, we are in constant exchange with the customer and the developers. Our goal is to implement our projects in time, quality and budget. In other words, to ensure the quality of the result and adherence to the budget within the planned time frame, so that in the end our customers receive the right software to optimise and automate their business processes.
Through our collaboration with the various clients, we contribute to the continuous group development by assisting in numerous initiatives. Examples include the introduction of complex system landscapes in sales and the successful establishment of new and innovative topics such as robotics or AI software.
However, we never work alone on our projects, so a team success for the PM team cannot really be distinguished from the result of the rest of Business Solutions. Our success is every single project that we can complete together to the satisfaction of our customers.
In our PM team we have diverse strengths and competences. Starting with the fact that our young age structure brings a breath of fresh air and dynamism to the projects. Each of us has his or her own Hometurf, i.e. a thematic focus in which he or she is particularly good. The respective project manager is responsible for this Hometurf and brings it forward through innovative thinking and proactive action. Furthermore, we remain in constant exchange within the team so that we can pass on information, suggestions and ideas from our areas to our colleagues and mutually benefit from them. We support each other when questions and problems arise. This is how up-to-date and innovative solutions are created for our customers.
For us, IT is a bit like magic. It is the art of connecting all the individual areas until, in the end, the whole system runs in harmony with each other. For example, nowadays it is possible to automate a large number of processes with little human involvement or just by pressing a single button (see RPA).
The current global developments show how innovative IT is. You can change and move things in IT, because digitalisation is advancing inexorably and fuelling the versatility of topics and systems. And it's not just the topics and systems that are varied, but also the people behind them, whom you get to meet every day at work.
