What became of... Mariam Nyang?

And go for our new video series! Have you seen the talented trainee who once supported you so energetically in your editorial office in the canteen again? Or remember a trainee who was particularly hard-working and is now a valued colleague? Maybe they recently read something on the intranet about a former trainee who passed through your department?

We are now getting to the bottom of these aha-moments and asking ourselves: What became of our former junior staff? Every year, we train a wide range of talents at Burda with the aim of offering them a permanent place in the company. Former dual students, apprentices, trainees and volunteers have long since found themselves in our top positions - and we want to show that.

Mariam Nyang started her traineeship in 2019 and not only told us how she got to her current position - she also reveals what her dream job was as a child and shares her ultimate career tip.
