“RONZHEIMER.” has just been awarded the BAMBI 2025 in the “Culture” category. Paul Ronzheimer impressively demonstrates how podcasts as a cultural medium can inspire, inform and unite people.
Artistic excellence, contemporary relevance and a formative influence on the music scene – these are the qualities shared by the three nominees for the BAMBI 2025 Award in the “Music Act of the Year” – Audience category. Kamrad, Oimara and Zartmann have not only delivered outstanding performances but have also left a personal mark and provided cultural and social inspiration with their music. Now the audience has decided who will be honoured with the BAMBI award for their musical success: Zartmann, the Berlin musician who captures the hearts of a generation with his honest and melancholic songs about growing up in the big city. His songs are a refuge for all those who seek peace and quiet in a world full of noise.
"Music is an indispensable part of our society. It has the power to bring people together, stir emotions and set the cultural pulse of our times. Especially in challenging times, we seek moments that bring us joy and hope – and music does this like nothing else. Behind the songs that accompany us throughout the year and reflect our emotions are extraordinary artists. With their voices, rhythms, melodies and lyrics, they manage to fill entire arenas and touch hearts deeply."
Robert Schneider, editor-in-chief of Bild and BAMBI jury member
Zartmann's career began on social media, where he first attracted attention with cover versions. But it was his own songs that quickly earned him a loyal fan base and made him one of Germany's most exciting new artists.
His songs, such as the number one hit “tau mich auf” and the soulful “wie du manchmal fehlst”, are more than just music – they are stories about unfulfilled desires, broken love and the search for one's own path. With a mixture of romance, melancholy and hope, he creates a reflection of the present: a little uncertain, sometimes lost, yet full of confidence. With sensitive observation and remarkable musical maturity, he captures the quiet tones of urban life and translates them into melodies that touch the heart.
With his unmistakable blend of acoustic guitar sounds and modern influences, Zartmann has created a style that defies categorisation. If “urban folk pop” didn't exist before, then Zartmann invented it. His songs are like diary entries – honest, vulnerable and full of emotion. He has managed to carve out a new path with his music, inspiring listeners and creating a very special connection between artist and audience.
